Dr Laurence Bioteau
Laurence Bioteau

Laurence Bioteau is a French medical doctor who has been a member of Médecins du Monde since 1999. She took part in two missions as a medical coordinator. The first one was in Uganda where she stayed for 15 months, working on a HIV/AIDS programme. The second one was in Kabul, Afghanistan between December 2001 to March 2002, where she worked on a mother and child health programme.

As Médecins du Monde’s motto is to provide healthcare to vulnerable people in developed countries as well as developing countries, she has also worked as a volunteer doctor for Médecins du Monde’s ‘Mission France’ in Bordeaux at a health centre for vulnerable and deprived people such as migrants and homeless people.

She currently works as a GP in a health prevention centre in Annecy, France.
