Doctors of the World UK's Annual Report

2010/2011 - Annual Report

This Annual Report presents our first interactive report which includes videos and audio links for a truly multimedia experience.  We hope you enjoy it.

All of us at Doctors of the World UK are committed to improving health and healthcare for the world's most vulnerable people. In 2010 we did a lot to act on this commitment.

We rapidly dispatched and reinforced teams to respond to the massive flooding in Pakistan and to the cholera outbreak in the aftermath of Haiti's earthquake. One year after the earthquake, we have over 1,200 people in Haiti working on essential reconstruction.

Our work at home is more important than ever, as the NHS makes reforms that could further restrict healthcare access for the most destitute members of society. Indeed, the growing number of patients that Project:London sees every year shows that we are serving an enduring need.

Our specific strategies for the coming years maintain focus on not only delivering healthcare, but also campaigning for better healthcare and policies in local communities.
