Enjoy some of Italy’s most spectacular scenery while scaling its three famous volcanoes. When we land in Italy we have time to visit one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, the Colosseum in Rome before reaching Sorrento. Our challenge starts with Vesuvius in southern Italy best known for the explosion that buried nearby Pompeii. It’s then on to Stromboli, a tough, steep trek to the summit of the volcano, which dominates this small island. The challenge culminates on the slopes of smouldering Mount Etna in Sicily, one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
