Medecins du Monde UK is looking for an Intern Administrator to support the Project: London clinic.
The administrator will:
- Manage the clinic logistics
- Coordinate and organise the clinic setting before and after the sessions
- Make sure all IT, electronic and medical equipment is safely packed during transport
- Check that all the clinic materials, including the medical kit, is complete before and after each session
- Complete attendance sheet for patients and volunteers
- Purchase refreshments and book rooms at Praxis as required
- Prepare and distribute PL leaflets indifferent languages
- Manage the HR administration of the project
- Book candidates on information evenings, arrange interview, send references and CRB checks, prepare ads, enter data on database.
- Complete the volunteer file, update and distribute the volunteer handbook, update the list of active volunteers, ask their contact details and their availability, prepare the rota for the clinic, book volunteers on training sessions and chase them for their appraisal form.
- Ensure the health and safety of the clinic
- Make sure the health and safety rules are respected at all time by everyone (briefing sessions, providing leaflets on emergency procedures...)
- Regular risk assesment of the clinic and coordination of emergency procedures in case of accident or fire
- React quickly and efficiently to control the situation in case of accident or crisis among the clients and practitioners
- Build up a relation of confidence with vulnerable people
- Befriend patients while in the waiting room, ask them questions about their life to understand their living circumstances
The right candidate for this position will have good oral and written communication skills as well as experience or interest in office management and HR support within an international development organization.
Please note that we are not able to offer a salary for this position. We will reimburse your receipted daily travel and lunch expenses up to £10 solong as these expenses are incurred.
