We are seeking an intern to assist with:Case studies Follow up and Project:London support
Make phone calls on behalf of the client to relevant health services (GP, hospital, etc) and/or organisations (advice agency, solicitor, etc)
Liaise with the clients about his/her case
Find out cases that have been successful or that still need support
Manage the organisation and filing of Project:London documents
Contact person for the Project:London Team logistical, administrative and technical queries during the session
Monitoring of food and non-food stock at the Project:London clinic, including update of inventories and databases
Advertising
Raise awareness of the project among a wide range of organisations and places
Identify relevant places where to advertise the project
Disseminate and organise mail out of Project: London leaflets and posters to relevant organisations and places
Make contact with relevant organisations by phone
Collect or update relevant leaflets about partner organisations, health services and different aspects of health promotion and harm reduction
Advertise the project on relevant websites, networks, community groups newsletter
Updating and maintaining databases
The right candidate for this position will have good communication and negotiation skills, have experience (or at least interest) in advertising a project, they will be willing to work with people from a multi-cultural background. They should have a good knowledge of the healthcare system and advice agencies in the UK. A flexible attitude towards work is essential.
Please note that we are not able to offer a salary for this position. However, receipted lunch and travel expenses up to £10 per day will be reimbursed.
